കൊച്ചി: ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിൽ പഠനത്തിനായി പോയ മകളെക്കുറിച്ച് രണ്ടുവർഷത്തിലേറെയായി വിവരമില്ലെന്ന മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെ ഹർജിയിൽ ഹൈക്കോടതിയുടെ ഇടപെടൽ. യുവതിയുടെ നിലവിലെ സ്ഥിതി അന്വേഷിച്ച് വിവരം അറിയിക്കാൻ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഹൈക്കമ്മീഷനോട് കോടതി നിർദേശിച്ചു.

കോഴിക്കോട് സ്വദേശികളായ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ സമർപ്പിച്ച ഹർജിയിൽ ജസ്റ്റിസ് പി വി കുഞ്ഞികൃഷ്ണനാണ് ഇടക്കാല ഉത്തരവ് പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചത്.

ഇക്കാര്യം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിച്ച് മാതാപിതാക്കൾ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഹൈക്കമ്മീഷനിൽ പരാതി നൽകിയിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ, യുവതിയും ഹർഷ്ദീപ് സിങ്ങും സന്തോഷത്തോടെ ഒരുമിച്ച് താമസിക്കുകയാണെന്ന മറുപടിയാണ് ഇയാൾ നൽകിയതെന്ന് ഹർജിയിൽ പറയുന്നു.

The Kerala High Court has intervened on a petition filed by parents from Kozhikode who say they have had no information about their daughter for over two years after she left for MBA studies in England. The court directed the Indian High Commission to inquire into her current status and report back. The parents allege that she is being unlawfully detained by a man named Harshdeep Singh, while officials had earlier said the two were living together happily.
