കൂറ്റനാട്(പാലക്കാട്): തൃത്താല മേഴത്തൂരിൽ 45കാരനെ പാടശേഖരത്തിൽ മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി. മേഴത്തൂർ കോളശ്ശേരി പറമ്പിൽ വേലായുധന്റെ മകൻ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ ആണ് മരിച്ചത്.

മേഴത്തൂർ കോടനാട് തുരുത്ത് റോഡിന് സമീപമുള്ള പാടശേഖരത്തിലെ വരമ്പിനോട് ചേർന്നാണ് മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. മിക്ക ദിവസങ്ങളിലും പാടങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് താമരപ്പൂക്കൾ പറിച്ച് ഗുരുവായൂരിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി വിൽക്കുന്നത് സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യന്റെ പതിവായിരുന്നു. പതിവുപോലെ ബുധനാഴ്ച രാവിലെ എട്ട് മണിയോടെ വീട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് താമരപ്പൂക്കൾ ശേഖരിക്കാനായി പോയതായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം.
