കരിങ്കൊടി കാണിച്ച ശേഷം പ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു. പിന്നാലെ രാത്രിയോടെയാണ് ഇവരെ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തത്. ജില്ലാ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ജോമോന്‍ പൊടിപ്പാറയെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വീട്ടില്‍ നിന്നാണ് കട്ടപ്പന പൊലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്ത്.

പിന്നാലെ വിബിന്‍ സി അഗസ്റ്റിന്‍, പ്രിന്റോ ചെറിയാന്‍, പ്രിന്‍സ് ജോസഫ് എന്നിവരോട് കട്ടപ്പന പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില്‍ ഹാജരാകാനാണ് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടത്. നാലുപേരുടെയും അറസ്റ്റ് കഴിഞ്ഞദിവസം രാത്രി 11മണിയോടെ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയ ശേഷമാണ് വിട്ടയച്ചത്.

ആനത്താരകളിലെ അനധികൃത ഫെന്‍സിങ്ങും കെട്ടിടങ്ങളും പൊളിക്കണമെന്ന ഉത്തരവിന് എതിരെയാണ് പ്രതിഷേധം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചത്. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ വാഹനത്തിന് നേരെ കരിങ്കൊടിയുമായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ ചാടി വീഴുകയായിരുന്നു.

വാഹനം നിര്‍ത്താതെ കടന്നുപോയി. വിവിധ പരിപാടികളില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കാന്‍ ഇടുക്കിയിലെത്തിയ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി, കളക്ട്രേറ്റിലെ പരിപാടിയില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്ത ശേഷം കട്ടപ്പനയിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് കരിങ്കൊടി പ്രതിഷേധം ഉണ്ടായത്.

Vibin C Augustine, Printo Cherian, Prince Joseph were asked to appear at Kattappana police station. Their arrest recorded around 11 pm previous day night and then released. Protest was against order to demolish illegal fencing and buildings at Anatharakal. Workers jumped in front of Chief Minister's vehicle with black flag, vehicle passed without stopping. Chief Minister who came to Idukki to attend various programs, was going to Kattappana after attending collectorate program when protest occurred.
