വാർധക്യ സഹജമായ അസുഖത്തെ തുടർന്ന് ചികിത്സയിലിരിക്കെ എറണാകുളത്തെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു അന്ത്യം. കെപിസിസി മുൻ ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറിയും രാജീവ് ഗാന്ധി ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ഡെവലപ്മെന്റ് സ്റ്റഡീസ് മുൻ ഡയറക്ടറും ആയിരുന്നു.
