കോഴിക്കോട്: പാളയം കമ്മത്ത് ലെയ്നിലെ ജ്വല്ലറികളില്‍ നിന്ന് 1.40 കോടി രൂപയുടെ സ്വര്‍ണാഭരണങ്ങളുമായി മുങ്ങിയ ആള്‍ പൊലീസിന്റെ പിടിയിലായി. കമ്മത്ത് ലെയ്നിലെ നാഷനല്‍ ജ്വല്ലറി പാര്‍ട്ണറായ സഫര്‍നാസാണ് പൊലീസിന്റെ പിടിയിലായത്.

മലപ്പുറത്ത് നിന്നാണ് ഇയാളെ പിടികൂടിയത്. പത്തോളം ജ്വല്ലറികളില്‍ നിന്ന് സ്വര്‍ണവുമായി ഇയാള്‍ മുങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു. 1.39 കോടി വില വരുന്ന 948 ഗ്രാം സ്വര്‍ണാഭരണങ്ങളാണ് ഇയാള്‍ കവര്‍ന്നത്.

ജ്വല്ലറി ജീവനക്കാരന്‍ ആയ പ്രതി മോഡല്‍ കാണിക്കാന്‍ എന്ന് വിശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചാണ് കവര്‍ച്ച നടത്തിയത്. കൃത്യത്തിനായി ഇയാളെ സഹായിച്ച സഹോദരനെ പൊലീസ് കഴിഞ്ഞദിവസം പിടികൂടിയിരുന്നു.

ഇതിനിടയില്‍ പ്രതി മുന്‍കൂര്‍ ജാമ്യത്തിന് അപേക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. ഇയാളെ പിടികൂടുന്നതിനായി പൊലീസ് പ്രത്യേക ടീം രൂപവത്കരിച്ച് അന്വേഷണം നടത്തിവരികയായിരുന്നു.

ജൂലൈ 27 ന് ഉച്ചയ്ക്കാണ് സ്വര്‍ണവുമായി പ്രതി രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടത്. തന്റെ കടയിലെത്തിയ ഉപഭോക്താക്കള്‍ക്ക് മാലയുടെ മോഡല്‍ കാണിക്കാനെന്ന വ്യാജേന കമ്മത്ത് ലെയ്നിലെ 11 കടകളില്‍ നിന്നായി 1,39,35,747 രൂപ മൂല്യം വരുന്ന 948.010 ഗ്രാം സ്വര്‍ണമാല കൈക്കലാക്കി മുങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു.

ആസൂത്രിതമായ കവര്‍ച്ചയാണെന്ന് പൊലീസിന് ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തില്‍ തന്നെ വ്യക്തമായിരുന്നു. ജ്വല്ലറി പാര്‍ട്ണര്‍ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കാന്‍ പോയ സമയത്തായിരുന്നു സമീപത്തെ കടകളിലെത്തി പ്രതി സ്വര്‍ണാഭരണങ്ങള്‍ വാങ്ങിയത്.

ആഭരണങ്ങള്‍ ശേഖരിച്ചശേഷം കടയുടെ ഗ്ലാസ്ഡോര്‍ അടച്ച് അടുത്ത കടയില്‍ താക്കോല്‍ ഏല്‍പിച്ച് മുങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു. പാര്‍ട്ണര്‍ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചുവന്നപ്പോള്‍ ഇയാളെ ഫോണില്‍ വിളിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ച് വരാമെന്നായിരുന്നു മറുപടി.
