**ന്യൂഡൽഹി : **പേടിവേണ്ട... എല്ലാ ഇനം മൂർഖൻ പാമ്പുകളുടെയും വിഷം നിർവീര്യമാക്കാൻ ശേഷിയുള്ള പുതിയ ആന്റിവെനം വികസിപ്പിച്ചു. ഇന്ത്യൻ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് സയൻസിലെ ഗവേഷകരാണ് ജർമനിയിലെ ടെക്നിക്കൽ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫ് ഡെൻമാർക്കിന്റെ സഹായത്തോടെ ഈ ആന്റിവെനം യാഥാർത്ഥ്യമാക്കിയത്.

നിലവിൽ എല്ലാ മൂർഖൻ പാമ്പുകളുടെയും വിഷം പൂർണ്ണമായും പ്രതിരോധിക്കാൻതക്ക ആന്റിവെനം ലഭ്യമല്ല. സ്പെക്ടക്ൾഡ് കോബ്ര, മോണോക്ൾഡ് കോബ്ര, കിങ് കോബ്ര തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രധാന ഇനം മൂർഖൻ പാമ്പുകളുടെ വിഷത്തെ ഫലപ്രദമായി തടയാൻ ഈ ആന്റിവെനത്തിന് സാധിക്കും.

എലികളിൽ നടത്തിയ മൂന്ന് ഘട്ട പരീക്ഷണങ്ങളും ഇതിനോടകം വിജയകരമായി പൂർത്തിയായിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇന്ത്യയിലുള്ള ആകെ 310 തരം പാമ്പുകളിൽ 60 എണ്ണവും മാരക വിഷമുള്ളവയാണെന്നാണ് കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്.

New Delhi: Antivenom capable of neutralizing venom of all types of cobra snakes has been developed. Researchers at Indian Institute of Science developed this antivenom with help of Technical University of Denmark in Germany. Currently there is no antivenom that resists venom of all cobra snakes. This antivenom is capable of blocking venom of cobra species such as Spectacled Cobra, Monocled Cobra, King Cobra. 3-stage experiments conducted on mice were successful. Of 310 types of snakes in India, 60 are deadly venomous.
