** **ഉത്തർപ്രദേശിലെ മൗ ജില്ലയിൽ ആരോഗ്യ വകുപ്പ് പൂട്ടിയ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ നടന്ന പ്രസവത്തെ തുടർന്ന് അമ്മയും നവജാതശിശുവും മരണപ്പെട്ടു. സെപ്റ്റംബർ എട്ടിനാണ് രത്തൻപുരയിലുള്ള ഇന്ദ്രജീത് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ഈ ദാരുണ സംഭവം നടന്നത്.

ബല്ലിയ ജില്ലയിലെ തർഗോലി ഗ്രാമവാസിയായ അജിത് രാജ്ഭറിന്റെ ഭാര്യ സരിതയും കുഞ്ഞുമാണ് മരണപ്പെട്ടത്. മുൻപ് ജില്ലാ ഭരണകൂടവും ആരോഗ്യ വകുപ്പും ചേർന്ന് പൂട്ടിയ ഈ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ, പിൻവാതിൽ വഴിയാണ് യുവതിയെ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചത്. സരിതയെ ഇന്ദ്രജീത് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിക്കാൻ നിർദേശിച്ചത് ഒരു ആശാ വർക്കറാണെന്ന് കാണിച്ച് അജിത് ചീഫ് മെഡിക്കൽ ഓഫിസർക്ക് പരാതി നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തിച്ച ഉടൻ ഹിമാൻഷു യാദവ് എന്ന ഡോക്ടർ സരിതയുടെ നില ഗുരുതരമാണെന്നും ശസ്ത്രക്രിയ ആവശ്യമാണെന്നും അറിയിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയിലൂടെ സരിത പ്രസവിച്ചെങ്കിലും കുഞ്ഞ് മരണപ്പെടുകയായിരുന്നു. പ്രസവത്തിന് ശേഷം സരിതയ്ക്ക് അമിത രക്തസ്രാവം ഉണ്ടായെങ്കിലും ആശുപത്രി ജീവനക്കാർ തുടർചികിത്സ നൽക്കാൻ തയ്യാറായില്ല.

ഇതേതുടർന്ന് ഇവരെ മൗവിലെ മറ്റൊരു സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റേണ്ടി വന്നു. അവിടെയും നില അതീവ ഗുരുതരമായതിനെ തുടർന്ന് വാരാണസിയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചെങ്കിലും സരിതയുടെ ജീവൻ രക്ഷിക്കാനായില്ല.

Lucknow: Mother and newborn died after delivery conducted at private hospital sealed by health department. Incident occurred September 8 at Indrajit Hospital in Rattanpura in Mau district of Uttar Pradesh. Sarita, wife of Ajith Rajbhar from Thargoli village in Ballia district, and her baby died. Hospital which was sealed last year by health department and district administration together admitted woman through back door. Ajith says in complaint given to Chief Medical Officer that ASHA worker instructed to take Sarita to Indrajit Hospital. When brought to hospital, doctor Himanshu Yadav said Sarita's condition serious and surgery needed. Then Sarita delivered but baby died. Ajith said hospital staff refused to give further treatment after Sarita had excessive bleeding and had to be taken to another private hospital in Mau. As Sarita's condition became very serious, she was taken from Mau hospital to another private hospital in Varanasi. Her death was confirmed there. Chief Medical Officer Pankaj Rai said Indrajit Hospital was closed in 2025 as per District Magistrate's instruction. Although main gate was closed, they admitted patients through back door. He added that after receiving Ajith's complaint hospital has been sealed again.
