ആദ്യം പൂക്കോട്ടുംപാടത്തെ സ്വകാര്യ ബാങ്കിൽ വളപണയം വെച്ച് രണ്ടു ലക്ഷം രൂപയിലേറെ തട്ടിയെടുത്ത പ്രതി, പിന്നീട് ജൂൺ, ജൂലൈ മാസങ്ങളിലായി വണ്ടൂർ ഫെഡറൽ ബാങ്കിൽ രണ്ട് വ്യത്യസ്ത അക്കൗണ്ടുകളിലൂടെ 11 ഗ്രാം മുക്കുപണ്ടം പണയം വെച്ചും സമാനമായ രീതിയിൽ രണ്ടു ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം രൂപ കൈക്കലാക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
