ഞായറാഴ്ച വൈകീട്ട് നാല് മണിയോടെ പൊയിൽക്കാവ് ബസ് സ്റ്റോപ്പിലായിരുന്നു അപകടം നടന്നത്. ബസ് സ്റ്റോപ്പിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ യാത്രക്കാർക്ക് ഇറങ്ങാനായി ഓട്ടോമാറ്റിക് ഡോർ തുറന്നുവെങ്കിലും ബസ് പൂർണ്ണമായി നിർത്തുന്നതിന് മുൻപ് ലീല പുറത്തേക്ക് തെറിച്ചു വീഴുകയായിരുന്നുവെന്ന് ദൃക്സാക്ഷികൾ പറഞ്ഞു.
