കൊല്ലം നഗരത്തിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ഹോട്ടലിന്റെ മുകൾ നിലയിൽനിന്ന് യുവതി താഴേക്കു ചാടുകയായിരുന്നു എന്ന് പൊലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു. യുവതിയും ഒപ്പമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എറണാകുളം സ്വദേശിയായ യുവാവും ഈ മാസം 20 മുതൽ ഇവിടെ റൂം എടുത്തു താമസിച്ചു വരികയായിരുന്നു.

ഇരുവരും കഴിഞ്ഞ കുറച്ചു നാളുകളായി ഒരുമിച്ചാണു താമസിച്ചിരുന്നതെന്നു പൊലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു. ഇവർ താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന മുറിയിൽ നിന്ന് ആത്മഹത്യക്കുറിപ്പ് കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും ഹോട്ടലിലെ സിസിടിവി ദൃശ്യങ്ങളും മറ്റും പരിശോധിച്ച് അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചതായും പൊലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു.

മൃതദേഹം ജില്ലാ ആശുപത്രി മോർച്ചറിയിൽ‌. യുവതിക്ക് ഒപ്പമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എറണാകുളം സ്വദേശിയായ യുവാവ് പൊലീസ് നിരീക്ഷണത്തിലാണ്. മൃതദേഹം ഇന്നു പോസ്റ്റ്മോർട്ടം നടപടികൾക്കു ശേഷം ബന്ധുക്കൾക്കു വിട്ടുനൽകും.
