തിരൂർ: ട്രെയിൻ യാത്രയ്ക്കിടയിൽ യുവതിയെ കയറി പിടിച്ച് ശുചി മുറിയിലേക്ക് വലിച്ചിട്ട് പീഡിപ്പിക്കാൻ ശ്രമം. സംഭവത്തിൽ അസം സ്വദേശി റോയൽ രാജു വിനെ ആർപിഎഫ് പിടികൂടി.

കോയമ്പത്തൂർ-മംഗലാപുരം ട്രെയിൻ ബുധനാഴ്ച ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് ഷൊർണൂർ വിട്ടപ്പോഴായിരുന്നു സംഭവം. ശുചിമുറിയിലേക്ക് വലിച്ചിഴക്കുന്നതിനിടയിൽ യുവതി കുതറിമാറി രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. സഹയാത്രികർ റെയിൽവേ അലർട്ടിൽ വിളിച്ചറിയിച്ചു.

തിരൂരിൽവെച്ച് ആർപിഎഫ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥൻ പ്രതിയെ പിടികൂടി. ഇതിനിടെ പ്രതി ആർപിഎഫ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനായ എ.എസ്.ഐ. ശശിയെ തലയ്ക്കടിച്ച് വീഴ്ത്തി. മറ്റു സുരക്ഷാ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരൊന്നും ഡ്യൂട്ടിയിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

തിരൂർ പോലീസിൽ വിവരമറിയിച്ചതോടെ എസ്.എച്ച്.ഒ. ജലീൽ കറുത്തേടത്തിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ പോലീസ് സംഘം റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷനിലെത്തി പ്രതിയെ കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചുവെങ്കിലും അക്രമാസക്തനായിരുന്നു.

മൽപിടുത്തത്തിലൂടെ കീഴടക്കി തിരൂർ ജില്ലാ ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തിച്ചു. പരിക്കേറ്റ ആർപി.എഫ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥൻ കാസർകോട് ചെറുവത്തൂർ സ്വദേശിയായ ശശി (57) യെ തിരൂർ ജില്ലാ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ശശിക്ക് മികച്ച സേവനത്തിനുള്ള 2026-ലെ റെയിൽ സേവാ പുരസ്‌കാരം ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു.
