വയനാട്: പുൽപ്പള്ളി കബനി നദിയിൽ കാണാതായ മധ്യവയസ്കന്റെ മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തി. പുൽപ്പള്ളി വെട്ടത്തൂർ ഊരിലെ ചന്ദ്രൻ ആണ് മരിച്ചത്.

കഴിഞ്ഞ ഞായറാഴ്ച പുഴ കടക്കുന്നതിനിടെ ചങ്ങാടം മറിഞ്ഞ് അപകടമുണ്ടാവുകയായിരുന്നു. കാണാതായി നാലാം ദിവസമാണ് വെട്ടത്തൂർ പമ്പ് ഹൗസിന് സമീപത്ത് നിന്ന് മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തുന്നത്.

ഫയർഫോഴ്സും എൻഡിആർഎഫും സംയുക്തമായി നടത്തിയ തിരച്ചിലിനൊടുവിലാണ് മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്താൻ സാധിച്ചത്. ഞായറാഴ്ച മുതൽ ഫയർഫോഴ്സും എൻഡിആർഎഫും ചേർന്ന് കബനി നദിയിൽ വിപുലമായ തിരച്ചിൽ നടത്തി വരികയായിരുന്നു. സംഭവത്തിൽ പോലീസ് നടപടികൾ ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. മൃതദേഹം പോസ്റ്റ്മോർട്ടത്തിനായി ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി.
