A 27-year-old youth Sreeju died after a lorry ran over him at Puthiyakavu near Venjaramoodu on Friday night around 10.30 pm. Son of Sreedharan Nair and Vasanthakumari, resident of Chengikunnu Plavila house now staying at Neythushala Nellikkunnu house in Nagaroor on rent, Sreeju was an electrician. According to eyewitnesses, a car reversed recklessly, hit his scooter, he fell onto road and a Torus lorry coming from opposite direction ran over him. Kilimanoor police did inquest and handed over body after postmortem.
