മദ്യപിച്ച് വാഹനമോടിച്ചതിനെത്തുടർന്ന് നടപടി നേരിട്ട കെഎസ്ആർടിസി ഡ്രൈവർമാരിൽ ഗുരുതര വീഴ്ച വരുത്താത്തവരെ തിരിച്ചെടുക്കുമെന്ന് ഗതാഗത മന്ത്രി കെ.ബി. ഗണേഷ് കുമാർ അറിയിച്ചു. നടപടി നേരിട്ട് പുറത്തുനിൽക്കുന്ന 650 ഓളം ഡ്രൈവർമാരിൽ 500 ഓളം പേരെ തിരിച്ചെടുക്കാനാണ് മന്ത്രി നിർദ്ദേശം നൽകിയത്.

ഒരുതവണത്തേക്ക് ക്ഷമിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന് മന്ത്രി. തിരിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നവരിൽ നിന്നും 5000 രൂപ ഫൈൻ ഈടാക്കും. ഡ്രൈവർമാരെ കിട്ടാനില്ലെന്നും ഗതാഗത മന്ത്രി. വർക്ക് ഇനി ഒരു അവസരം ഉണ്ടാകില്ലെന്നും ആവർത്തിച്ചാൽ വീണ്ടും ഫൈൻ വാങ്ങി പുറത്താക്കുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
